One of our main projects here is the opening of the border for package bees (no comb) to be shipped to Canada. It is a project we have been working very hard on for over 2 years now.
Uplift is a program designed to support beekeeping as an industry. It is based on the ECAP program, but chosen to be a positive incentive as opposed to a program that only kicks in during problem times.
Our number of cost effective labeled miticides is strictly limited, you should also be aware that even though many of the organics are available at your local hardware for fair prices, such use is strictly prohibited.
The BeeCAUSE Alliance is a collective of beekeepers who view beekeeping as a vital industry. Regardless of size, our focus is on advancing beekeeping as an agricultural sector by uniting beekeepers, suppliers, and growers from the U.S. and Canada.
The demand for bees and their products has fluctuated over the decades—from the early days when honey was a primary sweetener, to the rise of alternatives in the 1980s, and now back to a peak due to their essential role in pollination.
Our mission is to transform the perception of beekeepers from the quirky figure at the edge of town to respected providers of critical agricultural services and champions of food safety and pollinator protection.
As of 2025, we lack a strong presence in Washington, D.C. In contrast, industries like pork, almonds, beef, blueberries, and poultry have dedicated advocates who work tirelessly for their interests. We need similar representation to ensure our industry is heard.
On this website, you’ll find our current key issues. We are actively addressing these while building alliances and seeking funding to hire full-time staff. Our model is akin to that of the Almond Alliance or the Pork Board. As a 501(c)(6) organization, we have the ability to lobby for our members.
We invite you to watch our videos, join our cause, and encourage your friends to get involved. If you know a grower who should participate, live near a congressman, or have connections that could help us advance our mission, please reach out. We would love to hear from you!
